Hello and welcome to 2010! I trust you all had a good break. There are going to be some changes to the blog this year. I am currently working on a new one, with more features and bigger pictures. Watch this space!
But before I launch into all the new things lined up for me this year, let’s talk a minute about you! After dozens of enquiries from you the blog reader and from a myriad of friends, clients, and colleagues – I’ve put together a photography training workshop with my good friend and fellow ‘tog Jo Fonseca. It’s an elementary course designed to help you get to grips with digital photography, how to get the best out of your camera, and how to take better photographs. We’ve kept the class size small so we can give individual attention – so spaces are limited to 12 places. This all takes place on 13 February in JHB.
Details:
The workshop will be run by Doug Place and Jo Fonseca and it is a mix of theory as well as practice. You will apply what you learn on the day with an email based assignment thereafter. Spaces are limited to 12 people such that we can give individual hands on instruction. A CD will also be provided with course notes as well as additional learning material.
What you will need:
- A digital SLR camera (any brand). If you are unsure what this is, then best ask us before booking on the course.
- You will need to know how to change the following settings on your camera: shutter speed, aperture, white balance, ISO, and metering modes. You don’t need to know what each of these settings are (that’s the point of the course!) just how to change them. 10min with your camera’s manual should help with this.
